The police are probing the theft of half a million dollars from Sagicor General Insurance Inc.
According to a source, the money disappeared from the accounts department of the company and the matter was reported to the police over the weekend.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Seymour Cumberbatch confirmed that the matter is being investigated.
