East Coast Demerara: The police this morning is still trying to locate the driver of a Toyota Allion who sent five persons including children to the hospital last evening. The driver was racing through LBI estate road and failed to stop at the major when he hit the rear of a Nissan Titan sending it into a utlility pole on the parapet and into a parked vehicle. A woman and child at the side of the road were injured. The occupants of the parked car were about to enter when they were confronted by the out of control vehicle. They both suffered injuries. TrakkerNews was told this morning that the missing driver is well known and will be caught soon. He reportedly fled the scene after removing the number plates. Those involved in the accident did not suffer life threatening injuries according to nurses at the hospital.
