Georgetown- This evening several persons including close associates and relatives of a man whose body was found in a shallow grave are being questioned by the police. The body of a farmer 51 year old Gangaram Bharrat was Tuesday evening discovered at the back of a house at 14th street Foulis Enmore, East Coast Demerara. While reports are that the man may have gotten into an argument with some drinking buddies and may have been victim of an assault which ended tragically, others believe that the he may have been killed for his property. The man's sister was overheard saying that his wife and in-laws wanted him dead to take control of his property in Enmore. The police continue their investigation into this latest crime in a series of others that plaqued the village of late. The community has seen it's share of shootings, murders and robberies over the past 5 months. The situation resulted in beefed up police and vigilante patrols, yet the crimes continue.
