Georgetown : As the Police Force continues with its traffic enforcement, as of yesterday April 27, 2015, there has been a total of 32 road fatalities, compared to 35 for the corresponding period last year.
During the period April 19 to 25, 2015, a number of cases has been made against motorists for breaching the traffic laws.
These include:
Driving Under the Influence 26
Breach of Condition of Road Service Licence 81
Careless Driving 12
Dangerous Driving 13
Fail to wear safety helmet 03
Fail to wear seat belt 31
Prohibition of the use of hand held mobile phone 15
Five persons were charged for the soliciting of passengers (touting).
