Georgetown: Police constable Cristopher Albert of Rose Hall Town Corentyne, Berbice was shot in the abdomen by a colleague while they were uplifting firearms at the Tactical Services Unit (TSU), Eve Leary, Kingston Sunday morning.
The injured police was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he is listed as critical. His colleague who shot him is in under close arrest.
The Constable was shot in his lower abdomen with a .38 handgun. The bullet exited his buttock. Police sources suspect the shooting was accidental.
