Georgetown: Police this morning believe that they have a cop killer under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was shot during a confrontation yesterday at Linden/ Soesdyke Highway. The 27 year old Kitty man is believed to be the gunman that shot and killed police constable Vickram Singh last year. The police say that based on leads following last Thursday's robbery at the Guyana Stock Feeds where 6 heavily armed gunmen attacked and made off with 10 million in cash, the suspect may have been involved. Police are claiming that he was confronted after being suspected . The man resisted and pulled a knife when the police retaliated. More investigations are continuing to ascertain whether the police's suspicions are correct about the wounded man in custody.
