Georgetown: Over the weekend a senior officer told Trakkernews that the recent staging of kidnappings can have serious repercussions, especially at this time when elections are near. He said that the police force is sending out a warning to people who can likely cause a political and ethnic uproar. Referring to the staged plot by 18 year Loretta Persaud of Unity Village, the officer said that from the time news reached the police about the circumstances of the alleged kidnapping they knew something was fishy. He is however concerned how a young adult with eductaion can be so insensitive, putting her parents in fear and so much trouble. She is expected to be charged today. Meanwhile police are still checking out the story of two teens from Yarrowkabra, who claimed they were abducted after they were found at Timehri late Friday. The police believe that this might be another staged kidnapping, but they have not confirmed this.
