Policyholders say every cent

Bridgetown.

The Barbados Investors and Policyholders Alliance (BIPA) the group representing the interest of CLICO and British American Insurance Company in Barbados will not be accepting less than every cent owned to its members and it will go to the law courts if it has to.

Last week president of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) Warren Smith said it was unlikely that the money invested in the two companies would be returned in full.

According to president of BIPA June Fowler:"Words recently quoted in the press, including "unlikely" and "regrettably" are simpy not in the vocabulary of the alliance".

Fowler stated that BIPA respected the right of the CDB president to express his opinion but reiterated the group will not accept any proposed resolution to the matter which offers less than 100  repayments of percent principal  iinterest in a timely manner.
