Georgetown : Gocool Boodoo, Chief Election Officer, Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) announced that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) has won the 2011 General and Regional elections.
The PPP/C After more than two hours of delay, Gocool Boodoo, Chief Election Officer, Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) announced that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) has won the 2011 General and Regional elections.
The PPP/C won 32 seats in the National Assembly while APNU got 26 and the AFC seven.
Mr Donald Ramotar won the Presidency.
The PPP got 48.6%
APNU – 40.8 %
AFC – 10.3 %
