Georgetown : President David Granger has given his administration’s commitment to working with Argentina in an effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
The commitment was given today when His Excellency Luis Martino, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic paid a courtesy call to the Guyanese Head of State at the Ministry of the Presidency.
The Argentine Ambassador described the meeting as a fruitful one, stating that it was centered on discussion on the history of the two countries’ bilateral relations, “…Very particularly after the reopening of our Embassy at the end of 2011; we reviewed some of the very interesting, important projects that we are trying to develop in our bilateral agenda with several areas of government.”
Some of the areas of cooperation include agriculture, public health, and culture.
“I’m hopeful that this conversation will, as the President pointed out, be a starting point for renewed future in our relationship.”
