President Jagdeo to lead Guyana’s delegation to China Economic and Trade Forum

Georgetown : President Bharrat Jagdeo will be leading Guyana’s delegation that includes Ministers Ashni Singh, Manniram Prashad, Robert Persaud, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, and Robeson Benn at the upcoming Caribbean-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum to be held in Trinidad and Tobago on September 12 -13th.

 Additionally, over 30 Guyanese representatives from the private sector are also scheduled to attend this forum. 
Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr. Roger Luncheon said that the forum is the high point of the areas under its remit for the agenda of the People’s Republic of China and in particular, CARICOM States.  
This forum is a ministerial-level conference that convenes every three to four years in China or a Caribbean state. It aims to promote and deepen the economic exchanges and cooperation to realize the common development between China and the Caribbean region.
