Low fish stocks and increasing operating cost such as fuel are among the main reasons why the price of fish in Barbados remain high, president of the Barbados National Union of Fisherfolk Organisations,Vernel Nicholls Trakker News this morning.
Nicholls said boat owner are the hardest being hit s they nhave to send a boat out to sea with no guarantees over the number of fish they will catch.
She added until the catches increase, the cost of fish especially flying fish and dolphin will remain high.
