Georgetown: As part of Guyana's 45th Independence anniversary, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds received the Order of Excellence. President Bharrat Jagdeo recently gave his approval for several appointments to the orders of the country. The Order of Roraima, Guyana's second highest award was bestowed on Charles Ramson, the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs and Chancellor of the Judiciary Carl Singh. The Cacique Crown of Honour will be bestowed on Governor of the Bank of Guyana, Lawrence Williams; Justice Ian Chang, Head of the Guyana Revenue Authority, Khurshid Sattaur; Attorney- at- Law, Miles Fitzpatrick and the late Dr. Desrey Fox. These awards were given for dedicated service and valuable contribution to nation building.
