er Kamla Persad-Bissessar has paid glowing tribute to the nation's nurses thanking the country's 6000 nurses for their invaluable contribution to the delivery of quality health care to citizens.
Today is International Nurses Day and as she reflects on the work they do, the prime minister notes that nurses are critical to the delivery of high quality, efficient care in all health institutions.
Many of them she admits make sacrifices on a daily basis to ensure that the health system is not compromised and she's assuring them that government is working to raise the bar on the standard of health care offered to citizens.
