Prime Minister of Barbados Freundell Stuart has congratulating President of the United States Barack Obama on his re-election and has assured him of his commitment to strengthen relations between the two countries.
In his message to the White House, Stuart said the resounding mandate given to Obama by the American people following Tuesday's general election was a sure indication of their satistion with his leadership over the past four years and of their confidence in his capacity to lead them for a second term.
"I feel sure that you have the strenght of character, even in the face of challenging economic circumstances, to bring motivation, hope and progress to your country and it's people. I wish to assure you of my commitment to further strengthening relations at the bilateral, regional and international levels as we continue to work towards building a world governed by the principles of peace, democracy and the rule of law", Stuart told the President.
