Prime Minister urged Barbadians to more productive

Bridgetown.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has called on Barbadians to pull out the stops and be more poductive.

Speaking last night in Independence  Square at a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary riots and the role played by National Hero Clement Osbourne Payne, the Prime Minister said every nation at some stage in its history had decide whether it would  die on its feet or live on its knees.

"In 2012, Barbadians are once again at the crossroads, this is the time for us to pull out all the stops, to increase our levels of productivity, to excercise prudence in the management of our finances and to pursue excellence in order to weather this economic storm. When we look back back at the challenges which beset our forefathers in 1937, we should be motivated and inspired to be more enterprising, to accept responsibility for ourselves and our country", Stuart said.
