Georgetown: The manhunt for four prison escapees continue as the trail goes cold. The army which has since joined in are patrolling areas along the Berbice river hoping to pick up some clues of the missing men. According to a senior member of the search team, it is as if the escapees dissappeared into thin air. From the the time the men broke out of the new amsterdam prison two weeks ago, there have no sightings. Investigators believe that they have gone into an isolated area and may be using disguise to move around. The men who have serious records pose a danger to civilians since they will need money and food to survive. Surinamese authorities remain alert and Trakkernews understand that local police are expected to join a search party in Suriname to look for the men in the vicinity of South Drain and Nickerie.
