Georgetown : The Ministry of Public Works today announced that fund claims of affected EZjet passengers are currently being processed and that it will notify the public through the media, when payments are ready.
Government will only be refunding passengers who purchased their tickets in Guyana. The US $200,000 bond deposit which was lodged by the airline to enter the Guyana market will be used for the refunds.
EZjet Airline’s licences were suspended in the US and Guyana two months ago following financial difficulties encountered with its founder and CEO Sonny Ramdeo who is now in custody in the United States.
