Following a prolonged hiatus, the dry spell for promotions in the Guyana Police Force has been broken and four Assistant Commissioners have been named.
The Guyana Police Service Commission has announced that Snr. Superintendents Bassant, Cosbert, Griffith and Joseph have all been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioners.
Eight Officers, inclusive of a female rank have also been promoted to Senior Superintendent, while13 Dpty Superintendents have been upgraded to substantive positions.
There was also a significant shake-up in the hierarchy of the lower ranks as well, as Police Commissioner (ag) Leroy Brumell has also approved scores of promotions from Lance Corporal upward within his purview.
