Georgetown : Children and staff of the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation centre expressed their profound gratitude to President Bharrat Jagdeo for his outstanding achievements and contribution toward the development and creation of opportunities for children with disabilities at the centre.
The President yesterday was treated to a range of cultural presentations put on by the children and staff and was presented with several tokens of appreciation.
“The work done here is wonderful and I know all of you have a bright future so it is good to see you again…as you know I am leaving the Presidency but, I am not leaving Guyana and, the love for this country, and all of you will see me in the future at your centre,” President Jagdeo told the students.
He also expressed gratitude to the staff and other volunteers who have dedicated their time working to
President Jagdeo said $20M was allocated in the National Budget this year to be disbursed to centres and groups in the country.
