Government workers have begun receiving their April salaries and wages, this was disclosed by Deputy Accountant General Ickford Roberts at a monthly meeting hosted by Minister of Finance, the Economy and Public Administration Harold Lovell on Monday with representatives of the bargaining agents for public servants in Antigua & Barbuda.
Roberts said as of Friday, all pensioners have been paid, as well as most established workers. He added that payments will now be made to ABI, Community First Credit Union, ECAB, ACB, First Caribbean International Bank, and Scotiabank.
The deputy accountant general said payments be competed today.
