Bridgetown.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is investigating why it took an ambulance over an hour to arrive at the scene after a woman jumped from a multi storey car park in Bridgetown, last Friday
Angel Taitt jumped from the top floor of the City Centre car park which is located a mile away from the QEH, for over an hour her broken body lay in the streets waiting for an ambulance.
Chairman of the QEH Francis Depeiza, told Trakker News, the management of the state run health institution is concern that it took such an inordinately length of time for ambulance to reach the scene.
According to Depeiza, the ambulance fleet at the QEH is aging. Two new vehicles were ordered earlier this year in an attempt to improve the ambulance service.
Taitt died at the QEH about an hour after she arrived at the hospital.
