East Coast Demerara : A large crown turned out at the Lusignan Tarmac yesterday to listen to policies and programmes of the ruling PPP/C rally.
Lusignan is the community where heavily armed men shoot and killed 11 people inclusing five children on the morning of January 26, 2008.
Presidential Candidate Donald Ramotar said the continued development of Guyana will continue after general elections; as the aim is to take Guyana to another level of development. He further added that the PPP/C Party has done extremely well as it has achieved much for its citizens, whilst enduring the hardships meted out by those seeking power for the sake of power.
Ramotar also said that the PPP/C Party under his leadership will take Guyana to higher levels in that struggle which was started years ago, a struggle for the complete modernization of the country and the lifting of the standards of living for its citizens.
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds said he is pleased to see that the unity that the late Dr. Cheddi Jagan had once fought for evident in 2011, with elections that are free and fair.
