Bridgetown.
Ian Burns, the CEO of Redjet the Caribbean newest airline says the war on high airfares in the region has truly began.
"This is no gimmick, it's for sure, it's for real," stated Burns as he addressed a Press launch for the airline at the Hilton Hotel yesterday.
Burns said Redijet fares would be on average 60 percent less than the current market fares, a factor which he claimed marks the beginning of a permanent end to high airfares in the region.
"We want to create multiple bases across the region , so that everyone in the Caribbean can have a low fare and access all of the islands
through a signifcant network,"Burns said.
"We will create easy, affordable and reliable air transport , it is our aim to revoluntionise intra-regional travel', he added.
