The Government of Barbados is still considering Redjet application to fly the Barbados -St Lucia route.
Minister of International Transport and International Business George Hutson told reporters that the low cost carier application could be discussed at the Cabinet's weekly meeting tomorrow.
Responding to comments by St Lucia's Minister of Tourism Allan Chastanet, who told reporters in St Lucia that while a licence was promised to fly the route it was not approved by the Government of Barbados.
However Hutson told reporters that was a case of Redjet jumping the gun:"The issue of travel between the island is an issue that is sensiive. We have to give some consideration to how these thing inpact on LIAT and so on", Hutson said.
"These things have to wait; Redjet, everybody else need to wait and let us evaluate the situation before making decisions.It is not the first time that this has happen as far as that airline is concerned, people jump the gun all the time", he added.
