St. John’s, Antigua: LIAT has offered passengers affected by the shutdown of REDjet the chance to fly at discounted rates, after REDjet suspended all its flights until further notice, the Antigua Observer reported.
The company’s action will affect five routes, Antigua, Barbados, Guyana, St Lucia and Trinidad.
LIAT announced that special arrangements would be made to assist all affected passengers “in its commitment to the carriage of persons throughout the Caribbean”.
The Pbserver report stated that LIAT said all persons affected should contact the LIAT Call Centre to make bookings on LIAT by quoting their REDjet booking reference/confirmation number in order to be entitled to purchase a new ticket at a special fare “in these unfortunate circumstances.”
Earlier Redjet said that affected passengers would be offered refunds or the option to travel with Redjet upon resumption of services, The Observer said.
