A report on how Curtis Callender died while in police custody will be handed over to Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite today.
Speaking to journalists after he had deliver an address at the intersessional meeting of the Caribbean Commissioners of Police at Divi South Winds yesterday morning, Brathwaite said he had scheduled a meeting with Acting Commissioner of Police Bertie Hinds for early this morning.
"I will not speculate as to what will be contained in the report but what I can guarantee to the public of Barbados is that any matter that I am involved with, there will be full transparency and full accountability", he said.
Brathwaite refused to comment on the need for for a external investigation saying he must read the report first. Callender,35, of Rollins Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael, died in police custody last Thursday after reported being taken from his home around 6.a.m.
His family and members of the community have cried foul and are crying and are calling for answers.
