Roasalie Adams appointed Permanent Secretary in Premier’s Office

British Virgin Islands: The appointment of Mrs. Rosalie Adams as Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office until further notice, has been approved by His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Boyd McCleary, CMG, CVO, acting on the advice of the Public Service Commission, according to a report on BVInews.com.

Mrs. Adams, whose appointment commenced January 16, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Guidance Counselling from Bristol University in the United Kingdom.

As Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office, Mrs. Adams is responsible for managing and supervising the activities of the Premier’s Office; advising the Premier on the formulation of policies and implementation of policy recommendations of the other Ministries and international agencies; overseeing the annual preparation of the Capital and Recurrent Budget Estimates for the Ministry and its Departments/Units; ensuring that the financial resources allocated are properly managed and liaising with the Governor’s Office on external affairs such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s matters, the BVInews.com report said.
