Georgetown :The police today conducted searches and raids in Georgetown and its environs during which a total of 25 buildings were searched and a number of persons arrested pending investigations into various offences including robbery under arms, break and enter and larceny, and larceny.
Among the persons arrested was a prime suspect in the armed robbery committed on the two gas station employees at Mandela Avenue on May 06, 2011, who were shot during the incident.
Two motor cycles suspected to be either stolen or unlawfully obtained have been seized by the police.
