New Amsterdam,Berbice. A New Amsterdam man was arrested this morning and is currently being held for robbery under arms,after being identified by a female Police Constable as one of the men who robbed her on her way home last night.
The woman who resides in Angoy’s Avenue was heading home from work when she was allegedly attacked and robbed by two Afro-Guyanese men. The woman claimed that she fled from the men and sought the help of a hire car driver who took her to the Central Police Station where she made her report. She reportedly told the policeman on duty that she could identify one of the men because he lived in her neighborhood,after which the arrest was made. The other man remains unidentified.
