Georgetown: Information has surfaced that investigators are examining the possibilty that police officers known to Linden Mortley who was gunned down Sunday evening may have been involved in the killing along with other accomplices. It is no secret that the ex boxer had past brushes with the law including charges of firearm and grenade possession. Reports are that he was involved in shady deals with rogue cops. A source close to the investigation revealed that efforts are currently being made to track down the two cars seen at the time of the killing. The license numbers are known and investigators are hoping that they may get some lead to the suspects involved. Mortley was found dead just before 8pm Sunday at the Festival City bridge, after residents in the area heard gunshots. Now it is believed that the men in the two cars may have abducted the man with the intention of executing him. However the motive behind his death is what investigators are now trying to figure out.
