Russian visitors, Vladimir Dubko, 23 and Eugenicy Polishuk, 27, were each fined $1500 forthwith or 1 month in prison yesterday in the District A Traffic Court by Magistrate Douglas Frederick.
According to Prosecutor Sergeant Janice Ifill, the police were patrolling Browne's Beach when they saw Dubko and Polishuk in conversation with a jet ski operator.
The lawmen saw when the men make an exchange and this aroused their suspicions.Police approached and searched Polishuk and found powdered cocaine in a beer bottle.
Magistrate Frederick imposed the fines and released the men into the custody of immigration officials.
