Dominica: In observance of Drug Awareness month schools along the east coast of Dominica held an anti-drug march earlier this week, in the community of Sinekou in the Kalinago, Territory and was done in collaboration with the Youth Officer with responsibility for the eastern district, according to a report on the Dominica NewsOnline.
Students, teachers and staff of the National Drug Abuse Prevention Unit displayed anti-drug placards as they marched from the Sinekou Resource Centre, in support of the anti-drug ideal, the DNO said.
Participating schools were the San Sauveur, Castle Bruce, Sinekou, Salybia and Atkinson Primary, who read a poem highlighting the dangers of drug use. The Sinekou Pre-school was also in attendance.
