
Georgetown: The prestigious staging of the Miss India Worldwide pageant will see yet another representative from Guyana at the 26th Annual staging of this significant pageant come December, 2018.
Application process is now open to Guyanese beauties of Indian Origin between the ages of 17 and 27 with the interest of becoming a role model and living their dream of being Miss India Guyana 2018.
This year the national pageant will consists of four segments – Evening Gown, Indian Dress, Talent and Question-Answer slated for October 2018 with all the finalists receiving professional training by our renowned choreographer Alicia Bess, while enjoying the privilege of becoming a Brand Ambassador for the prominent beauty store Amanda’s Bridal and Cosmetics Store.
The finalists will also have the opportunity to experience Yoga, Hindi, Kathak, Indian Cooking and Sari Draping classes that will equip them with the knowledge and assist them in becoming much more connected to their rich culture and treasured heritage.
This will be a unique addition into this year’s pageant, which the National Director has introduce in order to create a reconnection with their motherland India. The winner of the national pageant will be able to flaunt the true qualities of a queen while improving the standards of her passion and country.
This lucky young woman will vie for the glamorous and prestigious title of the Miss India Worldwide 2018 title which will be held in December in the beautiful city of New Jersey.
The chairman and founder of the New York based IFC (India Festival Committee) Mr. Dharmatma Saran awarded the glamorous torch of the Miss India Guyana franchise to the duo who never fails to impress Mr. Hashim Alli and Mrs. Melicia Partab Alli.
This heartthrob pair both contributed immensely to Guyana’s entertainment and pageant industries and has been labelled as best suited to carry on the outstanding legacy of the Miss India Guyana brand.
Sitting in the National Director’s chair is Hashim Alli while his beautiful wife Melicia takes the chair of Vice President.
Hashim’s direction brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in working with pageants including the Miss India Guyana.
With over 15 years’ experience in the entertainment industry Hashim is equipped with the knowledge in talent, which contributes significantly to the judging criteria of the pageant.
Melicia’s experiences in entertainment and qualifications in marketing and project management is the added bonus to this well-rounded couple.
