Assistant Superintendent of Police Lila Boyce created history yesterday when she was received a double promotion, it was the first time a female member of the Royal Barbados Police Force was accorded such a honour.
Boyce has moved up the ranks to senior superintendent and will be in charged of the Bridgetown Division, Superintendent Eucklyn Thompson was also promoted to the post of senior superintendent and has been assigned to the Southern Division.
Boyce and Thompson were the only police officers promoted yesterday.
