Georgetown: Seven persons were certified after completing the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9001 registered lead auditor course Wednesday morning.
The course was facilitated by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) in collaboration with Delphi Consultants Limited of Trinidad.
The event was held in the Boardroom of GNBS, Sophia Exhibition Complex.
Participants include representatives from the GNBS, Ministry of Health, MACORP, Edward Beharry and Company Ltd, NAMILCO and Geddes Grant.
Head Conformity Assessment Department of GNBS, Candelle Walcott-Bostwick said the course duration was for one week and it began November last.
“The course is based in the United Kingdom and it is an International Registrar of Certified Auditor (IRCA) course which when completed gives participants the require skills to carry out effective management audit by the ISO 9001 standard which equip the companies participating with staff who can carry audits that are internationally recognized,” Ms Walcott-Bostwick explained.
