Bridgetown.
A year after she accused officials at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) of finger raping her, Jamaican Shanique Myrie is back in Barbados.
The Jamaican woman arrived at the GAIA yesterday evening on a Caribbean Airways flight and was quickly ushered through Immigration and Customs.
Myrie is in Barbados for a preliminary prodcedural hearing before the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), accompanied by her two lawyers, the 24 year old woman remained silent when asked by members of the press to comment about her return to Barbados.
"No statements, please no statements" was the instruction from her lawyer Michelle Brown, who along with fellow Jamaican attorney is representing Myrie.
Her attorneys will tomorrow argue to have the CCJ hear the matter in its entirety. However the Government of Barbados is expected to submit that the CCJ has no jurisdiction over the matter.
