Shiv is ICC No.1 test batsman

Georgetown : Shivnarine Chanderpaul back home after the just concluded Australia tour of the West Indies. Yesterday afternoon Shiv took time off and visited the GT&T 10/10 quarter finals at the Everest Sports Ground.

Shiv was the leading run scorer in the home series with 346 runs and now regained the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) No.1 batsman after holding that position three years ago.

In a brief comment with TrakkerNews, the left handed batsman said “it is great to be at the number one spot again”. He said the upcoming tour of England will be a tough one since the conditions there is different but looking forward to making a lot of runs and continue with his form.

Chanderpaul took part in the GT&T10/10 presentation ceremony and met with fans that were eager to get an autograph and a photograph of the World’s leading Test batsman.
