Sir Richard Branson issued challenge to Barbadian students

Bridgetown.

Sir Richard Branson has issued a business challenge to twenty business students of the Barbados Community College.

Speaking to the students via an internet video link in the conference room at the Cave Hill School School of Business, Sir Richard challenged the students to develop a business plan to make more Barbadians spend their vacation in the United Kingdom.

The billionare businessman told the students it was common knowledge that Barbados was a major holiday destination for  thousand of visitors from the United Kingdom each year.

By comparison not many Barbadians chose the United Kingdom as a vacation spot, they spend their holidays in  the United States. Sir Richard, who is the chairman of Virgin Atlantic Airlines, told the students he would like to know why this is so and what would encourage more Barbadians to consider vacationing there.

Virgin Atlantic Regional Manager for the Caribbean Nick Parker, noted as a company led by a renowned entrepreneurs, they were please to be associated with the challenge that would see the students working in their offices over the next few days to come up with proposals.
