Georgetown: Six passengers of a route 50 minibus are dead after the bus they were travelling in crashed into a Banks DIH distribution truck Fairfield, Mahaicony, east Coast Demerara Wednesday morning.
Reports indicate that after the crash the minibus toppled several times before coming to a stop.
Keon Sealey, a nurse, has been identified as one of the victims in the fatal accident at Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara (ECD), Region Five.
“Yes it’s on our parapet at the rice mill. The bus man speeding, got a blow out, lost control and slammed into a banks truck coming in the other direction, six dead on the spot in the bus 3 gone to the hospital. The truck driver and porters seem to be ok,” one resident said.
