A 3.8 magnitude tremor was recorded off Trinidad and Tobago just before 1 a.m. today.
The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre said the quake occurred at six minutes before 1 o’clock.
It occurred 64 km west southwest of San Fernando, 82 km southwest of the capital Port of Spain and 100 km southwest of Arima.
There were few reports of residents feeling that seismic activity, unlike the the last quake recorded off Trinidad was last week.
In that September 10 event, 4.8 magnitude earthquake shook the twin-island republic, with reports of residents across the country feeling the shaking.
