Social partners should boost public confidence says veteran trade unionist

Bridgetown.

Veteran trade unionist Sir Roy Trotman says that the representatives of labour, capital  and the government must put on the shoes they wore in 1991 in order to instil confidence in the public that the economy will recover.

According to Sir Roy,  if the senior members of the social partnership are not together at all levels then the decision making process will unnecessarily be showed down because of the bureaucratic barriers.

Sir Roy was speaking yesterday at a breakfast meeting at the Hilton Hotel to announce the handover of the chairmanship of the Private Sector Association.

Chief executive officer of Cave Shepherd &Company Limited, John Williams will repace Ben Arrindell  as chairman.
