Correy Morris, 30, of Mount No. 2, St Peter, has been given his walking papers by the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) for breaching the army's rules and regulations.
Morris was caught last month trying to smuggle more than three pounds of marijuana out of Jamaica by sniffer dogs at Norman manley International Airport.
Morris,a private in the BDF was in Jamaica on a training course and was attached to the Officer's Mess of the Jamaica Defence Force.
He pleaded guility to the drug smuggling charge in the Jamaica Criminal Court and was fined JAM$10.000.
