The CLICO and British American Insurance Company Limited problems will be resolved soon, this disclosure was made by Minister of Finance, Chris Sinckler in the House of Assembly during the wrap up of the Budget debate last night.
Sinckler said that a resolution to the CLICO problem could be found as early as next week when he meets with the judicial manager for the insurance company.
He told parliamentarians that a firm proposal was being place on the table by the Government, which had been pressing to ensure that the policy holders get they money back.
"We will do what we have to do to ensure that the CLICO problems is solve without pulling down Barbados financially, and that the policyholders get back what we promised them", Sinckler said.
The Barbados Investors & Policyholders Alliance Inc (BIPA) has been steping up the pressure of the Government and the judicial manager Deloitte Consulting Limited for details on what happening to the troubled insurance company during the past two weeks.
