Shaquille Young, 16, of Smith Gate,Garrison, St Michael,was remanded to HMS Dodds yesterday for hitting his father in the back of his head with a piece of wood.
Young appeared in the District A Magistrates Court yesterday, where he admitted that he unlawfully wounded his father Frederick Young on Wednesday.
According to prosecutor Sergeant Ensley Grainger, the complainant spoke to his son about his behaviour, apparently he did not take kindly to this and an argument ensued.
The boy took a piece of wood and struck his father in the back of his head.
Acting Chief Magistrate Deborah Holder offered him bail,but at the end of the day's sitting,Young could not find anyone to be his surety and was remanded to HMP Dodds until Wednesday.
