Georgetown : Just after noon today, 24 year old Sherma Mentore’s throat was slit and her left hand chopped by her boyfriend. The woman was found dead in her back yard at lot 13 Dennis Street Sophia. Quick response by police caught the suspect at Georgetown Public Hospital with blood on his clothes. It is not clear why the man who hails from Essequibo ended up at the medical institution.
The dead woman’s sister down in tears told TrakkerNews that her sister was in a relationship with the suspect over one year now and as of recent there were several disputes where he threatened the woman’s life.
She said he would also talk of ending his life too.
Sherma Mentore lives with her mother and operates a confectionery stand in front her Dennis Street home.
