Port of Spain: Speaker of the House, Wade Marks says Sports Minister Anil Roberts stretched and exaggerated the facts when he accused Opposition Leader Keith Rowley of wrong doing in public office.
But Mark failed to send Roberts to the Privileges Committee of the House saying he didn't think he was being malicious.
Roberts had accused Rowley of bypassing and overuling authorities such as the Environmental Management Agency in granting approval for a building project back in 2003.
Mark said Roberts drew bold inferences in making the false accusation and he again warned members to avoid attacking each other personally.
