Georgetown– Just before noon, the registration process was in full swing as delegates and party supporters from the various regions trickled into Sophia to hear who would be selected as the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition party ahead of this year's election. Booths were setup demarcating the different regions as people registered amidst tight security. Quite a few foreign observers were present at the Congress. Some members of the North American delegation arrived at around 11 hrs. The PNC/R headquarters was graced by some 800 delegates and about 200 observers. The five nominees are former army chief, Brigadier (rtd) David Granger; former Finance Minister Carl Greenidge; attorney-at-law James Bond; former Minister, Dr. Faith Harding; and PNCR Vice-Chairman, Basil Williams.
