Berbice: Sherdell Tim, 21, of Martin Luther King Scheme, New Amsterdam was pronounced dead on arrival at the New Amsterdam hospital at around 23:30 hours Saturday night after he was run over by a mini-bus.
The drivers and minibus BEE 2127 is in police custody at the Central Police Station in New Amsterdam. Police disclosed Tim was riding at a fast rate when he slammed into the back of another motorcycle, which was being ridden by Brian Cummings, 29, of Amsville Scheme, New Amsterdam. He subsequently lost lost control of the motor cycle and ended up in the path of a mini bus that was travelling in the opposite direction.
