Georgetown: For the Christmas season the Guyana Police Force says that there will be zero tolerance approach to squibs and firecrackers.
Persons caught lighting or selling such squibs will be arrested, charged and placed before the court.
As part of police force security programme, plans are afoot to increased temporary mobile outposts in and around the capital city, while there will be search and cordon operations.
The Christmas security plan will continue until January 15, 2013.
